Moses

Moses was born in Egypt at a time when the pharaoh ordered the killing of all Hebrew young males.  He was put in a basket and set among the reeds of the Nile river.  Pharoah's daughter rescued and adopted him.   He killed an Egyptian when he was 20 years old and had to flee.  He went to Midian and married Zipporah, the daughter of Jethro, a Midianite priest.  He returned to Egypt at the age of 80 to confront pharaoh and demand the release of the Hebrews enslaved in Egypt. The pharaoh at that time was Ahmose l, but could be his son, Amenhotep l .  Moses led the Israelites through the wilderness for 40 years.  The end of that 40 year period would be 1446 - 40 ie 1406 BC and  Moses then died at the age of 120 which would be 1526 - 120 or 1406 BC.  Joshua takes over and leads the Israelites in 1406 BC.  With the Israelites he spent  40 years in the wilderness and was 120 years old when he was allowed to view the promised land and then he died and was buried on Mt. Nebo.

The Key is the date of the Exodus which is 1446 BC

Jabal Magla  aka Mt. Sinai

A biblical archaeologist organization, The Doubting Thomas Research Foundation, claims it has found the actual mountain where, according to the Old Testament, Moses lead the Israelites – a mountain that was enveloped in smoke, fire and thunder – and where, at the top, Moses received the Ten Commandments from God.

But in actuality, the society now claims, Mount Sinai, one of the most sacred places in the Jewish, Christian and Islamic religions, is Jabal Maqla, which lies in the Jabal al-Lawz mountain range in northwestern Saudi Arabia.

Jabal Maqla, has blackened peaks as if scorched by the sun or fire, and lies near Nuweiba Beach, where scientists have found land paths underneath the water, where God would have parted the waters for Moses and the Israelites.

Though they were followed by Egyptians in chariots, when the Israelites reached land on the other side of the water, the sea consumed the Egyptians. A chariot-like shape was found in coral in the area, according to Swedish scientist Dr. Lennart Moller, who noted to the outlet that the metal and wood had long ago disintegrated.

On the way from the Beach to the possible Mt. Sinai is a large, split rock with signs of water erosion, despite being in the midst of a desert.

“We believe this distinct landmark could be the rock that God commanded Moses to strike which water then gushed forth from miraculously providing for the Israelite population,” Mauro said.

The experts also discovered a site which appeared to be an altar near the base of the mountain, akin to the altar Moses is said to have built at the foot of Mount Sinai from uncut stones.

Mount Nebo

According to the Bible (Deuteronomy), Moses ascended Mount Nebo, in the land of Moab (today in Jordan), and from there he saw the Land of Canaan (the Promised Land), which God had said he would not enter; Moses then died there.[1] The Bible (Deuteronomy 34:6) says Moses' burial place was unknown. A monument atop Mount Nebo commemorates Moses' death after seeing Canaan, across the Jordan valley. A purported grave of Moses is located at Maqam El-Nabi Musa, in the West Bank, 11 km (6.8 mi) south of Jericho and 20 km (12 mi) east of Jerusalem.[2]

The problem of this timeline is that it has the reigns of Thutmose lll and Amenthotep ll wrong. If other sources are correct Thutmsoe lll is the pharaoh of the Exodus.  Doing the math.  Moses was 80 yo at the time.  So 1446 + 80 puts Moses' birth at 1526 BC.  The pharaoh at that time was Ahmose l, but could be his son, Amenhotep l .  Moses led the Israelites through the wilderness for 40 years.  The end of that 40 year period would be 1446 + 40 ie 1486 BC.  Moses died at the age of 120 which would be 1526 - 120 or 1406 BC.  Joshua takes over and leads the Israelites in 1406 BC.
